Frequently Asked Questions

What is a non-resident CCW permit?

A concealed carry permit issued by a state to applicants who do not reside in that state. Our service helps you apply for the New Hampshire Non-Resident License to Carry a Concealed Pistol or Revolver.

Why New Hampshire?

New Hampshire accepts applications from non-residents, and a number of other states recognize its permit through reciprocity agreements. Which states honor it is decided by each state and can change, so always confirm before you carry.

Who issues the permit?

The New Hampshire State Police, Permits and Licensing Unit. We do not issue permits and are not affiliated with the State of New Hampshire. We prepare your application; the State Police review it and make the final decision.

How long does the application take?

Our concierge service typically completes the application review within 1-2 business days. Processing time after you mail your package is set by the New Hampshire State Police.

Will I need a notary?

No. The New Hampshire non-resident application does not need to be notarized. You review it, sign it, and mail it.

Do I need to take a training course or shoot at a range?

No. New Hampshire does not require a firearms training class or range qualification for this permit.

I am not currently employed. What do I put for employer?

Write "unemployed" in the employment section. Every section must be completed; blank or incomplete answers can cause the State Police to return or deny the application.

How do I submit the application?

Once your application is filled in, you print it (or receive it by mail with a Print Package), sign it, and mail the complete package to the New Hampshire State Police along with any fee the state requires. Your package includes mailing instructions.

How is my permit delivered?

After you mail your completed application package, the licensing unit processes it and mails your permit directly to you.

What if my application is denied?

Our service helps you submit an accurate application. Approval decisions are made by the New Hampshire State Police.
